Odhiambo said that the bodies have been interfering with the 2018 truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga courtesy of their disruptive operations.

He accused offices of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) of being too noisy in their work, resulting in suspicion among reconciled parties.

The MP says that by alerting the nation on each and every one of their steps, the bodies are coming out as being used to harass specific groups, resulting in political suspicion.

Consequently, he says, there is a need for them to keep off the media to avoid giving out information that could further arouse political emotions, to as well as attract investors.

"Ile handshake ilikuwa ilete stability na peace lakini iko na kelele nyingi inaletwa na government institutions. DCI na DPP tuwache kelele na press. Tufanye kazi taratibu ili investors wakuje," he said during an interview on Radio Maisha Wednesday.

This translates to "The handshake was meant to bring peace and stability but it has brought a lot of noise brought by government institutions. The DCI and DPP should stop the noise and press and work quietly to attract investors."

Uhuru and Raila joined hands on March 9 last year, in a truce that was dubbed the handshake and which calmed the political storm that succeeded Uhuru's controversial reelection.
