President Uhuru Kenyatta is out to sabotage the presidential bid of his deputy William Ruto, claims outspoken lawyer Miguna Miguna.
The exiled attorney linked the tribulations facing Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro to an alleged plot by Uhuru to cut his deputy to size before the 2022 elections.
Nyoro, a die hard supporter of Ruto, was arrested on Monday night and briefly put in custody over the chaos that erupted in his constituency when he confronted Kieleweke MPs who had attended a fundraiser at Gitui Catholic Church.
Responding to Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen who protested the arrest of the Kiharu legislator, Miguna claimed Uhuru was using independent offices to fight Ruto's foot soldiers as a wider strategy to weaken the DP.
He mentioned the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Office of Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) as some of State organs being used to wage war on Ruto.
"My brother, Murkomen, why are you feigning surprise when it is self-evident to even your grade 6-child that Kenya's illegitimate despot Uhuru Kenyatta is using the DCI, DPP and EACC to decapitate his deputy William Ruto by politically amputating his 'legs?" Miguna tweeted.
In his message, Murkomen had warned the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai and the DPP Noordin Haji against being used to settle political scores.
"I am actually surprised that Ndindi Nyoro has been arrested. I hope the IG Mutyambai remembers that power is transient and that we are merely temporary trustees in the offices bestowed upon us to serve and not to oppress others. I hope the DPP will stand up to be counted!" the Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator tweeted.
