Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has raised concerns over the way Buiding Bridges Initiative (BBI) report release plans are being spearheaded.
The Senator, who is a loyal supporter of pro-Ruto Tanga Tanga group, now claims there is a plot to isolate some politicians in the planning of the release of the report.
Cheruiyot has accused Office of the President (OP) of planning Tuesday's ceremony in secrecy, claiming only politicians allied to Kieleweke faction who have been allowed to invite their supporters.
He alleged that the OP was contradicting the President who on Friday said BBI should not be politicised or used to divide Kenyans.
"I want to take my President for his word and believe that indeed BBI is about a new Kenya 4 all of us, BUT the actions of his office (OP) contradict him. Take 4 e.g, Only Kieleweke MPs have been asked to do a list of supporters to come receive BBI report, the rest wajipange," Cheruiyot tweeted on Friday night.
Speaking in Bungoma County, the Head of State urged political leaders to be cautious when discussing the document and urged Kenyans to read it for themselves so they could make an informed judgment.
“I urge politicians to read the BBI report and engage in meaningful discourse, we don't want to divide this country. Let us address these issues in a sober way, as adults, as civilised human beings," President Uhuru said.
The much-anticipated document is to be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday by BBI National Unity Advisory Taskforce led by chairman Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji.
