Osoro said the former Prime Minister should retire peacefully ahead of the next polls.

While addressing residents of Etago in his constituency on Saturday, the MP, an ally of Deputy President William Ruto maintained that Raila has been in politics for long and he must accept to retire.

The vocal legislator argued that the ODM leader's age mates who were politicians retired in peace and he should follow the same direction.

"I am challenging the ODM Party leader to go home in peace instead of waiting to be humiliated in the ballot come 2022. His time in politics is up," said Osoro.

He cautioned that that should opposition settle on Raila to run for the presidency in 2022, they will not win the seat.

"Raila has been failing terribly in all his attempts to run for the presidency. He will not be lucky in 2022 because Deputy President William Ruto is determined and focused to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta," said the first-term MP.

He also called upon Kisii county residents to consider being in government by rallying behind DP Ruto in 2022 due to his high chances of winning the country's top seat.
