Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga missed a golden chance to give Kenya a crucial win against Togo in the second round of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers played at Kasarani on Monday evening.

With five minutes to play, Kenya a got a free kick on the far end of the corner, and substitute Tusker's Boniface Muchiri stepped up and drifted in a superb free-kick that was deflected by Stars player before the loose ball fell to the talisman Michael Olunga who instead of doing the obvious struck at the defenders, with Togo shot-stopper beaten on the ground. 

Had he scored, the goal might have helped Kenya win and go top of Group G. The National Soccer team lie second in the group with 2 points with Comoros top after registering a win against Togo and a draw with Egypt in the first two games.

Stars will play Comoros away in their coming fixture before entertaining Egypt's Pharaohs at home in the return leg of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers matches next year.
