Former Jubilee Mombasa Gubernatorial Suleiman Shahbal has hailed newly sworn in Kiambu County James Nyoro for being resilient and patient until he took over power.
In a post on Friday, Shahbal said that Nyoro waited patiently until he ascended to a position he had eyed during the 2013 General elections. He used the case to encourage Kenyans to follow in his footsteps, adding that there are different strategies to achieve what dreams in life.
"When you are about to give up on a dream, because you've failed before, remember that James Nyoro also lost the race for kiambu governor in 2013 to William Kabogo. Today he just got sworn-in as govenor! So never give up! But adopt flexibility as a strategy; sometimes you've got to go down inorder to rise up! Don't give up on a dream! You may be too close to realizing it," he posted on Facebook.
Nyoro took the oath of office after the incumbent County boss Ferdinard Waititu was impeached from office by the Senate. The swearing in had been planned to take place on Thursday before it was postponed to Friday. The governor had moved to court to protest his impeachment before Judiciary gave a greenlight for Nyoro to be sworn into office.
