Ayodo came from Kowidi ni Kasipul Kabondo where he started his school at Wang'apala High school, later was taken to Kamagambo Intermediate school and passed well before joining Maseno School.

His star continued to shine when he passed with flying colours and went to Makerere University in Uganda.

The man from Kowidi in the then Kasipul-Kabondo Constituency attended Maseno School where teachers described him as ‘a man to watch.'

After graduating, Ayodo entered books of records when he got a scholarship to Union College in Nebraske in US on 1952. He passed with a distinction from America in 1955 where he came back to Kenya.

He went back to Kamagambo where he was taken in as a teacher, later went to Agoro Sare and lastly to Kisii School before deviating his career to politics.

He married Damaris in 1959 and they gave birth to seven children. On 1961, he joined politics and became the South Nyanza representative in Legco defeating Lawrence Oguda.

He was then appointed in the local cabinet while he was 33 by the first President Jomo Kenyatta. On 1963 he became an MP of Kasipul Kabondo Constituency where he continued serving as a minister.

This showed good relations between Kenyatta and Adoyo. However, this was soiled after Kenyatta and Odinga joined hands and wanted to eclipse Tom Mboya politically.

Just after the KANU delegates conference that was held on 1 Dec 1961, the members were not happy with the manner in which Tom Mboya was treated. And therefore conspired to have the KANU party split so that Mboya can form his party.

On 29th December 1961, Ayodo said that Tom Mboya was being stalked to be assassinated by one of the spy's Within KANU. His aims were to initiate a war within the party leading to its split. On 4th January 1962, Kenyatta called for KANU executive meeting that was attended by thirteen people.

Ayodo was asked to substantiate his claims but was not able to. Kenyatta warned him and closed the meeting. As he was addressing journalists, Ayodo intervened and walked out angrily, yet Kenyatta asked him not to say anything. All the same, Mboya died in 1969 which gave Ayodo a shocker as he lost the seat.

However, he bounced back on it on 1974. He later died on 1999 at Nairobi Hospital.
