Rosemeg Wambita, the mother of Quincy Timberlake, has spoken out ahead of the sentencing of former journalist Esther Arunga who is the wife of her son.
Speaking exclusively to Media Max-owned K24 Television on Tuesday, Rosemeg Wambita hit out at Esther Arunga, saying that the former journalist led her son astray and frustrated her efforts at reaching Timberlake.
She claimed that the last time she heard from her son was back in 2011.
"Since 2009 and by I think by 2011 is when I heard from my son lastly in Kenya, " Rosemeg Wambita said.
Wambita recounted how she had to answer questions from sleuths from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), now the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
"It was not easy for me to talk to them because it was like everybody wanted to talk to me but I told them I am not going to talk to you because I don't know you it's when they produced their cards, " Wambita said of her encounter with CID officers over her son.
Her words come ahead of the sentencing of Esther Arunga who was found to have lied about the circumstances of her son's death.
The former high-flying journalist said that the three-year-old fell to his death but an investigation by a homicide unit found that Quincy Timberlake punched and slammed the baby against a wall in a bid exorcise demons.
