According to Soy MP Caleb Kositany, the party has been ailing since the entry of ODM leader Raila Odinga after his truce with Uhuru in 2018.

Speaking on Saturday, Kositany said that Raila seems to be using his closeness with Uhuru to fight Deputy President William Ruto.

He now wants Uhuru to intervene, saying that he has not been keen on salvaging the party from the hands of Raila, who he said is up to no good.

"We want to tell our president that we have been patient enough with this handshake and we have been patient enough with Raila Odinga. Come back to Jubilee and let us put our house in order," he said at a function in Uasin Gishu county.

He also took jabs at the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) push, which Raila and Uhuru have said is aimed at bringing about constitutional reforms aimed at bettering the country.

According to the lawmaker, who was accompanied by 9 other leaders from the North Rift region, the initiative has been hijacked by Raila, who is using it to fight Ruto.

"We had our reservations about this BBI, now the truth has come out. His BBI is a project by Raila Amollo Odinga to finish William Ruto," he added.

This comes as a u-turn from the Ruto's camp, which has lately been seen to throw its weight behind the recently-released BBI report.
