Renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has weighed in on the appointment of Raychelle Omamo, as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
In a tweet after President Uhuru reorganised Cabinet on Tuesday, the lawyer welcomed Omamo's appointment, expressing confidence that she would do a great job at the Foreign Affairs docket.
"H.E Uhuru reshuffled the Central Kenya wing of Jubilee Cabinet...Rachel Omamo CS will do a good job in Foreign Affairs...her sunny/pleasant personality well be a welcome replacement to the frosty/grumpy face of Monica," he tweeted.
Omamo had been serving as the Cabinet Secretary for Defence, before being moved to the Foreign Affairs docket.
She will be the third Foreign Affairs CS in Uhuru's administration, with the first being Ambassador Amina Mohamed, who is currently in the sports docket.
As the new Foreign Affairs CS, she will tasked with shaping Kenya's foreign policy, and ensuring the country's profile in global affairs continues to grow.
She will also be on the forefront in Kenya's bid to be a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
