Some parts of Kisii county have been struggling in terms of infrastructural developments. However, there is a new glimmer of hope as Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tongí has pledged to allocate funds from the CDF kitty to improve learning infrastructure at Riamokobwe Primary School.
The legislator made the pledge on Friday evening when he met with the school's management at the school premises.
"I wish to confirm support to the school. I will allocate more funds from the CDF kitty to help the school improve learning infrastructure and other facilities to continue accommodating the rising number of our learners," Tongí said.
The lawmaker said his decision comes following the school's impressive 2019 KCPE results.
Tongí also reiterated that he is committed to investing more in education for the sake of the bright future of children in the constituency.
"I have no time to engage in divisive politics and wasting time answering my critics because the people of Nyaribari Chache elected me to serve them. Next year I will ensure equal disbursement of bursary funds to all learners. My rivals should wait until 2022 to compete with me in the ballot," he added.
Tongí said he is ready to face off his rivals in the ballot come 2022 and he will respect the decision the electorates will make.
