Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has taken a swipe at The Star newspaper for allegedly publishing untruthful information.

In a tweet dated Wednesday, Etale also bashed the paper's editorial team over alleged love for fictitious stories, this not being the first time he is dismissing the paper's stories.

He was referring to the paper's Monday publication about a political plot, allegedly hatched by allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, to block Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

"Who takes the paper serious anyway. The editorial team loves fiction," he wrote.

In the publication, the paper reports that the group is busy at work to scuttle the DP's ambitions, the plan being to come up with a major alliance to weaken the DP.

It claims that the power brokers, who also include kins of the two, have come up with a list of six national leaders, dubbed the 'Super Six' who will be handed the leadership slots.

The paper reports that the team is also pushing for the expansion of the executive to accommodate all the six, hoping that with them on one side, the DP will be rendered irrelevant.

This comes only months after Etale blasted the same paper for claiming that Raila's family is entangled in a property row with Raila's late son Fidel Odinga's widow Lwam Bekele.
