In a Facebook post on Monday, Ngunjiri said that he would trust the words of Mutua than Duale and other allies of Deputy President William Ruto.

Mutua had claimed that the second in command had threatened him that he would deal with him for talking ill about him. He claimed that he had met Ruto at State House when he held his hand and warned him.

Ngunjiri said he believes the governor's claims.

“If you were asked who between Duale & Mutua to believe who would you choose? Personally I trust Mutua over Duale any day,” he said in part of the post.

Mutua’s remarks did not augur well with Duale and Murkomen who came forth with their guns blazing.

Duale said that Mutua has decided to seek attention through the wrong channels.

"Governor Alfred Mutua is at it again seeking attention with the most fictitious allegations that can only fit in his failed Cobra Squad TV show," Duale said in a tweet.

"The truth is, attention seekers are looking for validation. They want to know they are worthy. “You can’t use our names to increase your dwindling political shares in the village. We play a different league. Wacha vindiyo, cinema na vipenderee," he added.
