Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has resorted to mockery, ahead of the much anticipated Kibra by-election slated for Thursday, November 7.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Etale mocked Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga over his voter status, seeking to know the time he will he casting his vote.
This, he said in mockery to the fact that the former soccer player is not a registered voter in the constituency, and is therefore not allowed to vote for himself.
"Can someone tell me what time McDonald Mariga will be voting tomorrow. That photo is needed for future reference. Kindly," he wrote.
In an earlier tweet, Etale confirmed that ODM leader Raila Odinga and his family will be leading the way in voting in Kibra for ODM candidate Imran Okoth on Thursday morning.
"On Thursday morning, voters of Kibra including; Raila Amolo Odinga, Mama Ida Odinga, Rosemary Odinga, Raila Odinga Junior, Winnie Odinga and thousands of others will go to the polls to elect their fellow voter Bernard Otieno Okoth. If you know, you know," he said.
Mariga's voter status has been a puzzling issue from the start, after it was found that he is not only not a registered voter, but has also never voted in his entire life.
