Letting together with four other individuals were on Sunday arrested after residents stormed Yamumbi police post demanding his arrest for allegedly terrorising residents using a criminal gang.

Speaking after he was released on Sh10,000 bond by an Eldoret Court on Wednesday, Letting said he has never committed a crime in his life.

“I am a politician come business doing clean business I have never had a criminal record and the cases that I am being accused of I don’t know it. It is just my political competitors wanting to tarnish my name,” said Letting.

He reiterated said that they co-accused are unknown people to him.

“I am being fought right left and center because I am fighting for the rights of Kipkenyo ward residents. I will not stop helping my people whether they fight me or not,” he added.

He called on residents to maintain peace promising that justice will finally be served.

Letting unsuccessfully vied for the Kipkenyo Ward MCA seat in 2017 on a Jubilee ticket but was trounced by the incumbent Hillary Rono on an Independent ticket.
