Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi is not radical enough to make critical decisions, renowned journalist and socio-political commentator David Makali has said. In a tweet, Makali said that for Mudavadi to lead this nation he must stop being 'too soft'. He lamented that the Former Vice President has proven beyond doubt that he is not in a position to lead an offensive when it comes to dealing with his political opponents in the race for power."Musalia comes off as too mild and moderate for the radical leader and changes required to lead KE to the future. He is spineless when it comes to critical decisions. Not categorical on anything and too guarded to lead an offensive against those he perceives to be wrong.#Punchline," he tweeted.

During an interview with K24 on Sunday, Mudavadi called for sobriety in the leadership of this nation amid the implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). He said that leaders must be ready to reach a consensus on different issues facing this nation for the sake of its growth and development.

"As we look to 2022, let us be brave enough to build a consensus on a lot of the issues just as we did when we were passing the 2010 Constitution. In 2005, the country was split down the middle and that's why we had to repeat the process," he said.

He also said that if he would have been the president of this nation he would not have tolerated some behaviours among leaders.

"If I was the president, I would take the assignment very seriously. I would advise Pres. Uhuru to focus on how to mitigate the painful processes Kenyans are going through," he added.
