The Speaker of the Senate Ken Lusaka on Thursday joined family and friends of the late Rose Kisama in mourning her death.
In a tweet on Thursday, Lusaka noted that the deceased, a former employee of the Senate, was a dedicated and highly resourceful person.
"Joined family & friends of the late Rose Kisama at a fundraiser to cater for her burial expenses. Ms Kisama, a dedicated & highly resourceful individual, was a staff of the Senate attached to my office. May her soul Rest in Peace," he said.
Kisama served as a Nominated Member of County Assembly in Uasin Gishu between 2013 to 2017, after which she got attached to Lusaka's office.
She passed away after suffering a heart attack on her way to Nairobi from Eldoret.
Many people will remember her for her diligent service and readiness to fight for the rights of Kenyans.
Her peace campaigns ahead of 2017 general elections earned her a lot of fame from Kenyans.
Various leaders, including Uasin Gishu Members of County Assembly (MCAs) have eulogized her as a great person who wanted to make a change in the country.
