URP was dissolved in September, 2016, when more than 15 parties folded to form Jubilee Party, which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and who is deputised by Ruto.

Kabando now claims the DP is planning to revive his  political outfit following growing influence in Uhuru's backyard of Central Kenya.

The former legislator said Ruto was ready to part ways with his boss judging by his sustained attacks on Uhuru's handshake partner ODM leader Raila Odinga, which he claimed were aimed at the President.

He further claimed Ruto's backing of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report was just a pretence to show he was reading from the same script with Uhuru.

"So-called Tanga Tanga “unconditional support” of BBI report in whatever form just a camouflage. Renewed blatant attacks on Raila Odinga actually aimed at President Uhuru Kenyatta. William Ruto vicious raids Central Kenya a forerunner to URP relaunch. Wither UhuRuto; Thrive UhuRao," Kabando tweeted on Monday night.

His remarks comes barely a day after a group of youths in Nyeri County burned t-shirts with inscriptions 'Uhuru's Bedroom' while chanting pro-Ruto slogans, ahead of the DP's arrival in the area.
