President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that he will not support any presidential candidate in 2022.
Speaking in Nyandarua County during an inspection of projects on Friday, Uhuru said no one should depend on him for support come 2022.
“Anyone vying in the 2022 elections will fight for their space and should not expect me to support them," President Uhuru said.
The commander in chief however, urged politicians to stop politicking and focus on development as the time for politics will come.
Uhuru was disappointed with the fact that, during the inspection, he came to find out that some houses that were supposed to have been connected with electricity have not yet been connected.
Due to the failure of his representatives, President Uhuru promised to be going by himself to check the completion of projects.
“Let’s stop politics and focus on development because that is what our people need. I came here to see myself whether the people in this region had been connected to the national grid as alleged by the people I had sent here.
“But those houses there, why are they not yet connected? I will not be sending people anymore, I will come by myself,” he said.
