Newly elected Kibra Member of Parliament Imran Okoth has hit the ground running to deliver on a key promise he made to residents during the campaign trail.
On Tuesday, Imran visited Kibra Secondary School construction site to gauge the progress made so far.
During the campaign period, Imran promised voters that in his first 100 days in office, he would ensure that the construction of the Kibra Secondary School is completed.
"One key promise was to handover Kibera Secondary School within my first 100 days in office. I inspected the on going works earlier today to ensure that I meet the target,: he said.
The newly elected lawmaker triumphed in the Kibra by-election held on November 7, after fending of stiff competition from the governing Jubilee candidate former Harambee Stars forward McDonald Mariga.
Kibra Secondary School was the brainchild of his brother; the late Ken Okoth, who lost his battle with cancer at Nairobi hospital.
Improving access to education was one of the key agendas the late Okoth had during his stint as area legislator.
Imran has vowed to continue with the implementation of his brother's development agenda and vision.
