TSC have gazetted the deregistration of Sossion. The gazette notice has been signed by TSC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nancy Macharia.

However, the Knut union through their Twitter account asked all its members to remain calm.

''There should be no panic over the gazetted notice by @TSC_KE to deregister our SG Wilson Sossion. The notice is illegal as the matter is active in court. It is also discriminative as there are many other union leaders who are serving Members of Parliament,'' said Knut.

The teachers' employers action to de-register Sossion came after he joined politics.

Sossion, in 2017 got nominated to the National Assembly by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

However, Sossion in a previous meeting noted that his de-registration will not affect the position he hold at the Knut union.

“A lot of misinformation is being peddled about a (court) ruling with respect to my relationship with TSC on employment contract. The matter under contestation has been exclusively on employment contract and not registration,” he stated as quoted by Capital FM
