Comedian Eric Omondi has been nominated for the Best Comedian Africa and the Best Host Africa in the  African Entertainment Awards.

The self-declared President of African Comedy took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to make the announcement of his nomination while at the same time urging his fans to vote for him. 

Omondi, a former Churchill show comedian who left stand up comedy to focus on online content production will also be the host of the event which will take place in New Jersey on October 19. 

This will be the second time in a row that he will be hosting the event.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!!! We did it once and we will do it again!!! The PRESIDENT will be hosting the African Entertainment Awards for the second year in a row...This October 19th in New Jersey. I have also been nominated once again in the Categories of BEST COMEDIAN AFRICA, and BEST HOST AFRICA," Eric Omondi wrote on Instagram.

He is also set to start a three-country tour where he will fly to Washington DC to host the African Community Awards alongside popular Nigerian actress Patience Ozokwor and then proceed to Johannesburg, South Africa before flying to London and back to Kenya.
