Renowned socio-political commentator Dismus Mokua has weighed in on the scuffle that was touched off by Moses Kuria's arrival at the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meeting in Kitui County.
Speaking on Sunday during the 'Inside Politics' programme aired on the Kenya Television Network (KTN), the Mokua took issue with the conduct of the Gatundu South legislator's conduct at the meeting.
The renowned analyst held the view that Kuria's arrival showed, if anything, a want of understanding of the fundamentals of protocol.
He went on to add that it was wrong for the governing Jubilee lawmaker and other legislators to storm the BBI meeting after it had started and issue demands to the organisers to be given a seat in front.
"Moses Kuria and company should learn basics about protocol. Don't come deliberately when the meeting has begun and demand to take a high seat, " Dismus Mokua said.
The Gatundu South MP caused a firestorm on social media platforms for hours an end after images and footage of his scuffle in Kitui county emerged.
Other Tangatanga legislators who graced the Kitui BBI meeting include Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Kikuyu member of parliament Kimani Ichung'wah.
