Sonko has been under criticism after he lifted the lid off the private life of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth on Thursday, revealing that he had an affair with one Anne Thumbi.

He proceeded to reveal that the relationship brought forth a son, Jayden Okoth, adding that Ken requested him to nominate Thumbi to the county assembly, which he says he did.

Wangari, however, took issue with the remarks, noting that they were made at the wrong place, and lashed out at the governor for exposing Okoth's private life.

Wangari termed the county boss an "attention seeker" who is only out to make a name for himself.

"Sonko is an attention seeker; he did not have to make such pronouncements at Ken Okoth’s funeral service. I know the late Ken Okoth had his house in order and there was nothing to whistle blow because the child has the rights protected," she said during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday.

The MP also took issue with Sonko's conduct towards women, apparently in reference to his war of words with Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo.

Wangari noted that the governor, whom she termed a "bully", is not new to such, terming his actions irresponsible.

"Sonko has been on record attacking women; he is a bully and I think what he did was irresponsible I hope the rights of the child will be fully protected if it is proven that indeed he is Ken Okoth’s son," she added.
