President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday officially launched the Building Bridges Initiative report at the Bomas of Kenya.

The event was attended by a host of leaders among them Deputy President William Ruto who had initially expressed reservations on the exercise.

On his Facebook, Kuria likened the event as an ODM function in reference to the choice of speakers.

"Attending the ODM National Convention at the Bomas of Kenya. #ChungwaMojaMaishaBora," wrote Kuria on Wednesday.

The exercise did not miss it's fair share of drama with Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen accusing Suna East MP Junet Mohamed of bias during the invitation of leaders.

"I must speak. If we are going to build a one Kenya in future, we must be able to put our views on ground. We cannot allow this podium to be used for divisiveness. Our voice must be heard when we speak here," he said.

Junet Mohamed was accused of ushering leaders only allied Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta, sidelining those who are allied to DP William Ruto.

Until Tuesday, the team allied to DP had expressed reservations on the BBI Report but it seems to have since changed tune and embraced the initiative.

The report will be reviewed before a final draft is made which could be subjected to a referendum or parliamentary initiative for changes.
