Starlets are aiming to improve against Queens after losing 3 - 1 in Accra during the AWCON match.

They had held the Black Queens to 1 - 1 draw in a friendly match at Kasarani, last year.

Prior to this clash, Starlets beat Malawi 5 - 3 on aggregate win, while Black Queens were no match for Gabon as they crashed them 5 - 0, also on aggregate.

The third round brings together 8 best Africa women teams in the fight for the direct slot. The winner will qualify to the penultimate phase of the qualifiers.

Speaking on Monday after the training session at Camp Toyoyo Ground, Starlets coach David Ouma was optimistic of his charges to record a good result on Friday, owing to intense training camp he had with the national women team.

"Our team composition is now good due to quality and young players fighting to maintain their number. And seeing that tactical awareness of players has improved, we only ask for the motivation and fans support," noted Ouma.
