A team of leaders from Mt Kenya region expected to steer the Building Bridges Initiative report has been picked.
The region has witnessed volatile succession politics ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta's exit, with a section of leaders endorsing DP William Ruto.
But another team has strongly condemned early campaigns, pushing for implementation of BBI report that is due to be launched.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday held a meeting with leaders from the region, with BBI report expected to be discuss ahead of the launch.
Nominated MP Maina Kamanda has been picked as the chairman and will be deputized by Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba.
Others in the Committee are Jamleck Kamau (Murang'a), Governor Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Kabando wa Kabando (Nyeri), Governor Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Gov Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru), Wachira Karani (Laikipia), Maoka Maore (Meru), Senator Njeru Ndwiga (Embu), and Petkay Miriti (Tharaka Nithi)
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga are expected to receive the BBI report which has reportedly recommended a total overhaul of the presidential system.
Friday's meeting at Sagana Lodge is seen as a strategy by Uhuru to woo Mt Kenya leaders to support the report, which was brought by his decision to work with Mr Odinga.
Both Uhuru and Raila are keen to have the report fully implemented as part of their legacy as statesmen. DP William Ruto has been opposed to the report.
