Another group of Somali refugees on Tuesday left their long time residential makeshift tents at the Dadaab Camps for Somalia.
They did this under the ongoing voluntary repatriation programme, expressing that they were ready to commence a new life back in their native country.
There was an evident apprehension, confusion and anxiety at the Dadaab airstrip as the latest group of Somalia refugees boarded transit buses that were ready to have them depart to Somalia.
According to an informer at the Airstrip, the latest group that opted to move out of the camp had 237 individuals with most of them being women and children.
This new development on voluntary repatriation follows an earlier tripartite agreement signed between Kenya, Somalia authorities and the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
The agreement that was signed close three years ago seeks to have the foreign refugees voluntarily return back to their home country.
That agreement is set to expire in September 2016, with only 5,200 out of the eligible 400,000 refugees living in Dadaab have been successfully repatriated through the programme.
