Harambee Stars lost 3-0 to Senegal in a match that was dominated by the latter.

“Thank you #HarambeeStars for giving your best. We live to fight another day. Let’s build on the #AFCON2019 experience for future tournaments. Great effort by Patrick Matasi,” he tweeted.

Kenya's goalkeeper Patrick Matasi won the hearts of many when he saved a penalty kick from Sadio Mane in the 28th minute of the match.

Following the loss, Harambee Stars dropped to position three in Group C.

The team will now have to wait for results of today's matches to know their fate in the tournament.

If both Benin and Angola lose their respective matches, Kenya will qualify for the round of 16 as one of the four best third placed teams.

Both Benin and Angola have 2 points from two matches.
