Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has said that he cannot be intimidated, days after he was allegedly banned from Meru county over attacks on fellow leaders.
Kuria says that Trade and Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya called him and made the threat while accusing Kuria of insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
However, speaking in Gaithece in Gatundu South on Friday, Kuria said that he will not be intimidated, adding that a free Kenyan citizen, he can visit any part of the country.
"The other day Trade and Industrialisation Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya called me at 11 pm and warned me against setting foot in Meru County, claiming I have insulted the President. “I want to tell him I am a free citizen and I can visit whichever part of the country without intimidation," he said.
Responding to criticisms he has been receiving from area politicians over his politicking mode, which has been termed abusive, he said that he doesn't care about the outcome.
The firebrand and outspoken leader said that he cannot he jobless even if not reelected to office in the approaching 2022 polls.
"I can do other jobs, I can be a good citizen," he added.
Formerly a diehard supporter of Uhuru, Kuria, just like majority of Mt Kenya politicians, has since crossed over to Deputy President William Ruto's camp.
