The story indicated that the consignment meant for Riamo TTI was dumped at the Karen Institute, and Bomachoge Chache MP Alfa Miruka was responsible.

Kisii based writer Geoff Gichana published the story after receiving a tip-off from a tutor based at the Riamo TTI. The writer made follow up and determined that the equipment ferried from China had not reached its destination.

Gichana managed to secure photos and documents that proved the claims by his informant. He managed to contact the area MP who dismissed the story as mere propaganda.

However, after the story was published, the MP changed his tune over the case. Gichana shared it in several WhatsApp groups and Facebook pages generating a lot of debate in Kisii County.

The MP later made a follow of the case, and the equipment was delivered to the Riamo TTI. In an exclusive interview with the writer, the MP admitted that he did not believe the story, but after much debate, he decided to act. The equipment arrived in Kisii on Monday.
