Sonko asked the DP to initiate a process of sorting out the differences between him and Raila or seek alternative solutions.

Speaking to K24’s ‘PunchLine' on Sunday, the county boss noted that seeking religious interventions is a reliable solution in ending differences between the two.

He noted that if the two options do not work, President Uhuru Kenyatta will have to intervene.

“I am appealing to my brother Ruto to sit down with Raila, and if that proves to be difficult, we can seek help from religious leaders or even the President himself,” Sonko said as quoted by K24

The governor also warned DP Ruto against opposing the handshake between President Kenyatta and the ODM leader.

He noted that how Ruto reacts to the handshake will affect his 2022 presidential bid.

“But if he challenges the handshake, criticises the BBI and defies his boss, then he is setting himself up for a very tough future. If he supports the handshake and the BBI, we would have no problem supporting him when Uhuru’s term is over,” Sonko said.
