National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has apologised to a section of Kenyans who dislike him due to his political stand.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Duale said sometimes he is forced to push for the agenda of the government as Leader of Majority, even if people are not happy with the same.
He said some of his actions are driven by the government and his personal stand in life, adding that those offended by the same should forgive him before the year ends.
"Maybe the agenda of the government is annoying most people. To those who dislike me, I want to tell them that I'm sorry it is not my wish to do so. I was given the duty by the government as stipulated in the Constitution of this nation and the Jubilee Party. when I see the agenda that suits Kenyans, I push the same. Our aim as a party is peace," he said.
(Pengine ile hoja ya serikali inawakasirisha watu wengi sana. So wale wananichukia nawambia poleni sana is kupenda kwangu nafanya hivyo. Nimepewa kazi kikatiba na chama cha Jubilee na rais wa nchi na nikiona ni jambo ambalo linafaa nitalisukuma yetu ni umoja na sera ya chama)," he said.
Duale affirmed his support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, adding that he will stand by the DP.
