The DP has lately been seen attacking a section of politicians deemed to be opposed to his 2022 candidature among them former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju.

Speaking on Wednesday, Ndile noted that Ruto's Sunday attacks on Tuju over his dalliance with Raila show his unwillingness to work with Uhuru who has entered into a truce with Raila.

He added that if unwilling to serve under Uhuru and follow his orders, he (DP Ruto) has no other option but to resign.

"If he cannot come to terms with the handshake he should leave (Kama anaona hizi salamu hazifai basi ni sawa aondokee)," he said on Radio Maisha, Wednesday.

Kalembe noted that any attack on Tuju or Raila is an indirect attack on Uhuru, which brings the DP out as a villain and an enemy of the national calm being experienced after the 2018 truce.

"I have seen Tuju being attacked by the Deputy President because of working with Raila. But isn't Uhuru to working with Raila? Hasn't this brought calm in the nation? (Nimeona Tuju akipigwa sana na Deputy President kwa sababu anafanya kazi na Raila. Lakini si Uhuru pia anafanya na Raila, na si nchi imetulia)?" he added.
