The political climates in Mount Kenya are so unpredictable that it is a difficult job for most politicians to be re elected.

In fact, it is only him who retained his seat among the Kiambu, Nyeri, Murang’a and Kirinyaga counties.

However, as the law stipulates, a governor cannot run for more than two consecutive terms.

That means that governor Wa Iria must play his cards well to decide on which political mandate he will seek after the expiry of his second term.

The governor will definitely be holding another role in society after 2022.

The big question is, what way will he go? He can opt to vie for another political seat like senatorial or parliamentary though it would look like a much lower position compared to the gubernatorial one.

He can also choose to align himself to a prefferd presidential aspirant and aim for a bigger job in the next government.

The outspoken Murang’a county boss can also make up his mind and act as political overseer  who will be putting elected leaders in Murang’a and central at large on the spot check.
