Members of a gang of people spiking drinks of relievers in Nairobi clubs and stealing from them have been arrested.
So far, the police have nabbed two women believed to be the brains behind all their activities. Catherine Njanja Wangeci was picked on Monday at the Njakwa chemist along Luthuli Avenue.She is the one who has been supplying other two ladies with drugs to spike in drinks of relievers in bars, clubs and restaurants so that they con from them. Her accomplice was arrested in Linkea area, Kahawa West. Her identity is yet to be revealed.Their hand guys, Joshua Murimi Ndegwa and Nelson Njoroge Wambui were also arrested. These are the ones who step in to force their victim into a secluded place where they will steal from them and even force them to reveal their ATM pins and other banks information. These suspects have been linked to a series of thefts in Nairobi city and surrounding areas. Various items were recovered from these suspects. They include; fake dollars, fake dollars, 8 rounds of ammunition, a machete and a collection of other items which the police believed were from the victims they robbed. The police are still searching for a third lady, Charity Gachambi Njuguna who is believed to be among the three ladies putting drags into reliever's drinks.
