A man from Juja Farm, Kiambu County is troubled after a pastor who united him with his wife of 26 years eloped with her.
The trader is stressed and alleges that his in-laws have requested him to accept a dowry refund.
According to the man, trouble rocked their marriage door when they joined Springs Church in Juja Farm.
“This is unacceptable and I wouldn’t sit back and watch someone take my family. If the government does not intervene, I will choose my ways. It has taken me a lot to grow the family all those years. I will not allow the wedding to continue. I can also seek legal redress. Let her stop soiling her name and ask for forgiveness, then I will take her back,” Kanyua painfully said.
The pastor's wife, Agnes Wangivi said that she tried objecting Leah's appointment as an assistant pastor but was not successful. She even advised Kanyua to tame his wife.
“This is when I started questioning their friendship. I confronted Kanyua to keep his wife away from my husband, but he seemed blindfolded. My husband drifted away from his family and ran away with Leah in 2015,” said the pastor’s wife of 34 years.
The man said that he stills pays schools fees for his children who now live with the pastor in a neighbouring market.
On her part, the pastor's wife is opposed to the union saying she will not relinquish property she acquired with the 'man of God'.
