24 people have sustained injuries after a Mombasa-bound bus toppled at Mnazini area along the Hola-Garsen road in Tana River County.The vehicle, which belongs to Msamaria Mwema bus company, was traveling to the Coastal city from Hola before the accident occurred.Confirming the incident, Kenya Red Cross Society officer Mr Edwin Pkemei said the bus had 40 passengers onboard. Pkemei said no deaths have been reported, adding that three people sustained deep cuts on their foreheads.“There was no death case but three people had deep forehead cuts, with a majority having dislocation, knocks, bruises, and trauma. All casualties have been taken to Garsen health centre for treatment,” said Pkemei, as quoted by Baraka FM.Red Cross officials gave the victims first aid treatment before taking them for treatment at the health centre in Tana Delta Sub-County.The cause of the accident is yet to be established.
