A 24 year old woman has committed suicide in Kangundo, Machakos County.
The woman a mother of two who had arrived home from Nairobi on Monday allegedly hanged herself inside her room in Metetani on Wednesday.
According to family members who discovered her dangling body, the deceased had not quarreled with anybody despite being sick for sometime.
She had been left at home feeding her children as other family members escorted guests who visited them only to be found dead in her room.
The deceased left behind no suicide note.
Police took her body to Kangundo Level Four Hospital mortuary for preservation.
The incident was confirmed by area chief Bethwel King'ele who said the woman left behind a one year old child and three months old baby.
King'ele warned residents against taking drastic measures when in complicated situation and instead seek guidance and counseling from professionals.
"We can't be losing people to suicide every now and then, no problem has no solution. People should seek help when things get out of hand," King'ele said.
