The video which is titled ‘Mazishi’ is a parody of an original song called ‘Kwaherini’ which was composed by one of Tanzania’s most celebrated artist known as Ferooz.

The parody video serves as a eulogy to the national football team of Tanzania Taifa Stars for losing to Kenya’s Harambee Stars in the recently played AFCON match. Harambee Stars won over Taifa Stars with a 3-2 victory in a face-off which saw Michael Olunga named as the man of the match.

The video has three characters; Eric Omondi, Hamisa Mobetto and Vera Sidika. Hamisa Mobetto has been used to depict the bitterness and pain of Tanzanians after the loss. Vera Sidika, on the other hand, represents the happy and joyful Kenyans after Harambee Stars victory.

The involvement of the two socialites as characters in the video has definitely increased the video’s popularity as the two are among the most sought after female celebrities in Eastern Africa.

Omondi has been identified as one of the Kenyan celebrities who expressed their unquestionable support for Harambee Stars in this year’s AFCON game.
