Molo MP Kuria Kimani has become the talk on social media when he shocked his constituents after showing up for a public meeting drunk on Thursday.

The meeting at Elburgon in Molo Constituency, Nakuru was organized to discuss the increased sale and consumption of illicit brew in the area.

Kimani, however, during the meeting arrived in the company of hundreds of his supporters and had to be hoisted over the fence and was supported to his seat.

The MP staggered to the podium when he was invited to address the public and the residents noticed he was drunk.

The angry residents shouted him down and the youthful MP was whisked away by police after the residents threatened to beat him up for showing a bad example to the youth.

Kenyans online in reaction to the video of the MP showing up drunk said he was leading by example and showing the youth the effects of taking alcohol.

Residents of Elburgon on Facebook said the MP was drunk but he represents them well adding that he should upgrade the Molo-Njoro road.
