Emerging details indicate that plans are in place to isolate firebrand Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa in Kilifi county over her latest actions.
This comes amid a widening rift between her and area politicians, who don't approve of her abrasive nature since she dumped the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Consequently, politicians in the county, including some with whom they had crossed over into Deputy President William Ruto's side, are planning to tame her in the near future.
The plan to isolate her is led by Magarini MP Michael Kingi and Owen Baya (Kilifi North), who have vowed to ensure they she doesn't control Kilifi politics.
This has also caused by envy from some politicians who feel that the DP has been favouring her over them, with others, who are eyeing the gubernatorial seat, seeing her as a threat.
Also part of the plan are politicians Philip Charo and former Malindi MP Willy Mtengo.
However, Kaloleni MP Paul Katana and Badi Twalib (Jomvu) rubbished claims that Jumwa is facing a backlash from fellow area politicians.
“She has not been isolated by anyone. She talks and interacts as usual with other Coast MPs. Everything is normal in her relationship with her colleagues,” Twalib told the Standard.
Katana the recently elected MCA IN Ganda Ward said that he is not interested in politics for now, and us fully committed to service delivery, until the right time, 2022 comes.
