In an interview with Citizen on Tuesday, the lawmaker said that the remarks are bad for your country.

He insisted that Jaguar’s school of thought is retrogressive. Kega said that the lawmaker is on his own, adding that the remarks do not reflect the position of the Kenyan government in any way.

“I totally disassociate myself with Honorable Jaguar’s sentiments. Some of the pronouncements he made are not good for the country and that is not our stand as a country,” he said in part.

He acknowledged that  Jaguar is entitled to defended his people, but he urged him to use the right channels to address the same.

He reminded the lawmaker that his utterances are dangerous for the country, which shares cordial ties with other world nations.

“The MP (Jaguar) has a right to defend his people but he should also make sure that he does not cross some lines,” he said.

In the meantime, Jaguar has since changed his tune following his arrest. The lawmaker claims he was misquoted.

He has said that he never wanted Chinese or other foreigners deported but asked to comply with the laws of the country in regard to business.

“My sentiments over invading of our market by foreigners have been greatly misinterpreted. I mean peace for country & businesses should go on uninterrupted, all foreigners are welcome,” he said.
