Celebrated Ugandan socialite cum businesswoman Zari Hassan caused drama during the Friday crowning of Miss Uganda 2019/2020 that was held at Sheraton Hotel in the capital of Uganda, Kampala.
This is after she clashed with the event host, NBS TV KetchUp presenter Anita Fabiola.
Zari who enjoys huge followers here in Kenya and East Africa at large was among the judges during the beauty event that ended up with booing and unexpected drama.
She clashed with Fabiola during the announcing of top three beauty queens.
From the look of things, Zari did not enjoy the 'Mama' title that the host had branded her.
The Boss Lady is a mother of five but she never prefers titles that put her in the old-women category.
"Aright, let us move on, we have our top three right here in this envelope, mama (Zari) are you going to do us the honest or...," said Fabiola while expecting Zari to open up the envelop and read out the names to the eagerly waiting audience and sponsors.
Zari then turned to Fabiola and said she was beyond doing paperwork "admin work" before she asked Fabiola to do it instead, which was basically opening up an envelope.
However, after Zari realized the audience was not happy with how she handled to matter, she tried to change the tune to make it appear like it was an earlier planned move but it was already too late to change the audience, she was even booed harder.
Fabiola then comes in, tries to calm down Zari but the Boss Lady could not buy it.
"Zari, Zari, am the host of this show, this is not the time or place...," Fabiola said before Zari cut her off with "Oh no, it does not matter".
Fabiola finally apologized to the audience over the unexpected clash with Zari before she announced Oliver Nakakande as the winner of Miss Uganda 2019/2020.
Zari is also expected in the country this year where she is set to partner with singer Akothee to launch a woman event that will see single mothers come together and learn from each other.
