Interior and Coordination of National Government Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho has cursed those planning on compromising the national examinations which are set to start in a few weeks time.
Speaking at a function at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) on Monday, the PS said that he was cursing people with such intentions because the future of scores of children is at stake.
"And for those who have not been in these exercises since we started, I usually start by cursing because we are talking about the future of our children but at this particular time, I am even talking about the future of my children so it becomes more serious... Should you violate, we are cursing you," the PS said.
He called on those charged with the responsibility of ensuring the integrity of the national exams to do their work as expected and to reject attempts to compromise them.
The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government is working closely with the Ministry of Education to ensure that the exams proceed seamlessly and with little disruptions.
At the top of the minds of ministry officials is to ensure that loopholes that could result in exam malpractices are sealed beforehand and those keen on compromising the exercise are dealt with according to the law.
