Celebrated rapper Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka has joined a section of Kenyans in criticising Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris for travelling to India to seek medical attention.
Passaris has found herself on the receiving end after she posted her photos in an Indian hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment after a successful spinal surgery.
While responding to an online user who bashed her for going for treatment abroad, the Women Rep defended herself saying there was nothing wrong to prioritize on her well-being and noted she can't sacrifice her health to be politically correct.
She disclosed she spent Sh50 million to campaign for her seat, adding she had made more sacrifices before she joined Parliament.
"What are you doing about it? #ManUp I invested 50 million to be elected a leader. I served way before being elected. At 55 #OfficiallyMadeOfTitenium because of the sacrifices I made. As a member of the Health Committee we shaping the Presidents #AgendaFourKe #UHCKe being crucial," Passaris tweeted.
Responding to the remarks, King Kaka faulted the MP, saying instead of speaking about the money she spent during campaigns, she should be fighting for Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) to be made a reliable health services provider.
"Esther Passaris shame shame Shame. The talk should be on how we have made our health reliable to the point you are getting your surgery at KNH. Wewe Uko Hapo unatuambia juu ya 50million(You are just there telling us about Sh50 million). Stop being selfish for once, just for once and serve the people who put you there. Shame," Kaka posted on Sunday.
