Being a man means you are the head of the family and this means you have a lot of responsibilities other than just to love your wife and children. Your family looks up to you to find refuge, leadership and protection.
Here are three main responsibilities of a man in the family:
1. A provider
Do not mistake being a provider to only entail supporting them financially. There are a lot more responsibilities falling under the provision. These are contributing to the emotional, spiritual and mental well being of your wife and kids. Be there for your wife and kids as far as the aforementioned provision responsibilities are concerned.
2. A protector
This does not mean you beat up a neighbours child who has knocked your son or daughter down while playing. It means protecting your wife's self-esteem and self-worth including those of your kids. It also means protecting your way of life and guarding them against any threats that could put the family to danger.
3. A leader
A leader here doesn't mean you bark orders to your wife and kids to comply with. It means acting as an example for them to follow. Lead your wife and kids to the rightful life that you want them to live. Let them see you as their source of light and prosperity.
