In a tweet on Wednesday, the lawyer opined that all professors involved in the saga should be shamed.

"Professors' avarice for money from the students they supervise overwhelmed them. It’s corruption by any other name. The Professors who supervised the students should be named and shamed," he said.

Kipkorir was responding to a twitter user, William Maema, who opined that JKUAT had brought shame itself after years of being among top universities in the country.

"JKUAT was one of the country’s most respected universities. It will take eons to redeem its tattered reputation. We are yet to see the full implications of the commercialization of education in Kenya," said Maema

On Wednesday, the Commission for University Education (CUE) ordered JKUAT to review all the 118 doctorate degrees issued during their 33rd graduation ceremony held at the university on June 21.

More so, CUE wants the varsity to review the PhDs of all students who graduated during their last three graduations.

CUE has promised to revoke the PhDs if they will be found to have any irregularities.

Universities have been called upon to adhere to the standards of education set by the body.
