Cabinet Secretary without portfolio Raphael Tuju has been accused yet again of wrecking Jubilee party from within, a move that is likely to cause tensions.
Early this year, DP William Ruto openly slammed Mr Tuju, who doubles as Jubilee Secretary General, accusing him of working with Raila Odinga.
On Saturday, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi insisted that Tuju's heart is in ODM, adding that Jubilee leaders will now forcefully push him out of the party.
According to him, Tuju was brought to the party to boost the national image. He insists that the former Rarieda MP is working with the opposition.
"Bwana Tuju we know you are not loyal to Jubilee party and that is why you are opposed to Mariga for the Kibra seat. After you failed to deny him the party ticket you have sponsored a petition in court to stop him. We have the evidence you shared with your allies in the media," he said.
"You will not succeed. We will soon take you to ODM where you belong. That is where your heart is. Ushindwe! Usisahau vile tulikusaidia all in the name of looking for the face of Kenya for our party. Ukifanyia mwenzako vibaya pia nawe ukuwe tayari kutendewa vivyo hivyo," he added.
In past media conferences, Tuju has often dismissed such links, arguing that he's only pushing President Uhuru Kenyatta's national unity agenda.
ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna in a past event denied Tuju's links to the party, arguing that the Orange team has enough advisors for Raila Odinga.
“We are currently in the process of restoring sanity in our party and the claims that are being propagated are ill-advised,” he said.
He added: “Tuju has never been Raila’s advisor and we are worried about this new scheme by a section of Jubilee leaders to divide ODM.”
