In a post on his Facebook page, Ngunjiri hailed Kinoti and Haji for not heeding to political attacks from Jubilee's faction, TangaTanga ho had claimed that the probe was being directed at one community.

"Congratulations to DCI George Kinoti and DPP Haji for not buckling down under the vicious political attacks that were directed at you by TangaTanga when you started doing investigations into the Arror & Kimwarer dams. You have proven that this was not a political witch-hunt & neither was anyone ‘weaponizing’ the fight against corruption for 2022 elections, as TangaTanga claimed in numerous political rallies," reads part of the MP's post.

The vocal legislator who is allied to Kieleweke faction of the Jubilee party further urged both the DCI and DPP to begin an investigation on the embattled Ministry of Agriculture headed by CS Mwangi Kiunjuri.

"As soon as you are done here please look also into Ministry of Agriculture," he said.

Ngunjiri's sentiments come after DPP ordered for the arrest of Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge among other government officials over the possible loss of billions of shilling that were meant for the construction of Arror and Kimwarer dam is in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

CS Rotich has since surrendered to the DCI headquarters.
